The study sought to determine the role of media and information education courses provided by the Jordan Media Institute in developing the skills of teachers of the Jordanian Ministry of Education in dealing with digital information and news verification in Jordan, by using the public survey approach using the questionnaire tool on a deliberate sample of (316) teachers who participated. In training courses. The study concluded that the percentage of implementation of specialized activities and training in the field of media education increased by approximately 25% as aresult of teachers’ participation in specialized courses in this regard. The results indicated a high degree of agreement regarding the role of media education in developing the respondents’ skills in dealing with digital information, a high degree of agreement regarding the role of media education in developing the respondents’ skills in dealing with digital content, and a high degree of agreement regarding the role of media education.
