The survey method was adopted; an approach used in descriptive studies, and the questionnaire tool was used to a sample (357) of the Jordanian public in Amman. The study-produced results including the platform most used by the Jordanian public to receive knowledge about health awareness is WhatsApp in the first place, followed by Instagram and then Facebook. The results also showed that the health topics of most interest to the public on social media platforms are mental illnesses in the first place, followed by obesity diseases. The results also showed that the most prominent cognitive effects of health topics on social media platforms are reading correct health information when information conflicts between doctors and realizing the seriousness of some diseases. It appeared that the most prominent emotional effects were disturbing nightmares and increased cases of depression. The most prominent behavioral effect of health topics on social media platforms was reading the nutritional information printed on food products, and it was found that there is a correlation between exposure to health culture topics and obesity diseases among the respondents. The researchers recommended that health authorities, through their media, should adopt the dissemination of information related to the dangers of bad eating habits by following a healthy
