This study is one of the descriptive studies that focuses on describing a specific topic, as it is in the current reality, in terms of its general and detailed characteristics, including variables, elements, relationships, and influences, which are among the most prominent features of scientific journalism in terms of accuracy, credibility, and documented scientific sources. The study was based on the theory of dependence on the media, and since there are no programs that talk about the energy transition, in-depth interviews were conducted with specialists in renewable energy science and television programs to strengthen the theoretical framework. The study reached a number of results, including the scarcity of scientific journalists specializing in the environmental and energy fields, and that the development scientific journalism practices were not accompanied by accumulation at the level of scientific research, and the study showed the extent of negativity in dealing with environmental issues and energy transformation. The study recommended the need to support scientific research related to renewable energies in a way that makes it possible to benefit from them and employ them practically to serve society, and also achieve interactive participation with the public through covering energy issues in media programs, and providing media content that contributes to shaping public opinion and directing it towards
