<\/span> 428<\/span> Views<\/span><\/div>\nThis study aims to identify the trends of media students towards the use of digital freelancer platforms in media work as an alternative to traditional journalism by knowing the degree of interest of students in digital freelancer platforms. The degree to which they are exposed\u060c the reasons for exposure\u060c the most important subjects to which they are exposed\u060c the most important platforms they pursue\u060c the most important skill needs\u060c motivations\u060c and stimuli that drive them to deal with freelancer platforms as an alternative to traditional journalism. It is a descriptive study and applied the survey curriculum in the framework of which it surveys media practice methods\u060c and the study community is completed in media students at Palestinian universities\u060c and a simple random sample was selected. The study was based on the literature of agenda\u060c uses and gratification. Among its most important results: Palestinian media students are interested in digital self-employment platforms significantly by 75.0%. The most important topics for digital freelancer platforms in journalism are 60.0% graphic press reports. The most important digital freelancer platform that students seek to know about freelancers7.2%. The most important satisfaction with the use of digital self-employment platforms is that they generate a “substantially good living income” of 80.2%. Among the most important recommendations of the study: at the level of colleges and departments of information\u060c develop educational courses in study plans related to the arts and rules of freelancers. At the official level\u060c spread the culture of self-employment through success experiences. At the level of media organizations and trade unions\u060c establish a code of conduct governing self-employment in the media.\n\n\n
